Festa Major del Raval Festival takes place each July for a weekend of activities in Barcelona, Spain.

Who doesn’t like a parade of giants and big heads?

Over 40 performances participate in the fiesta including musical bands and singers, dances, theater, art installments, street shows, and more.

The festival is best known for its Giants and Big Heads Parade (Gigantes y Cabezudos). Streets in the Rambla de Raval area of Barcelona will be filled with food stalls and restaurants.

The Festa Major del Raval starts off with the “La Alegria del Barrio” on Saturday night with musical concerts, and concludes on Sunday with a kettle drum parade and a fireworks show.

There is also children’s workshops, and a flea market.
