This tradition dates back over 900 years where people have gathered to honor the monarch and compete in traditional games.

This year, the Highland Games Braemar Gathering will include international athletes, pipers and dancers, and pipe bands. There will also be a tug of war, relay race, a hill race, long leap, throwing the hammer, putting the stone, tossing the caber, and more.

The Highland Games Braemar Gathering starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.
