Nothing beats a festival on the Tuscany coast!

Hundreds of thousands of visitors gather from around the world to see the huge paper mache puppets and floats which are marched down the streets during the main parade, along the viali a mare and the seaside.

Floats can reach over 20 meters high and can carry up to 200 people.  The floats often satirize political and public figures, and cultural heroes.

Additional events include fireworks, performances and cultural events, and masked balls held around the city.
