Where: Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A.  The Balloon Fiesta Park is located north of Alameda Boulevard, one mile west of I-25.

When: Generally starts the first weekend in October. Park gates open at 4:30am

In October, Albuquerque’s skies are filled with nearly 600 hot air balloons, making it the largest ballooning festival on earth and one of the most photographed events, as well.

On a 78-acre launch field (roughly the size of 54 football fields), there are over 100,000 people, you can wander among the balloons and talk to the pilots.

Balloon rides are available through Rainbow Ryders, Inc, the only company authorized to launch from the Balloon Fiesta Park. Reservations can be arranged by calling 505-823-1111.
